Dear MMA Members,

 

This is to bring your kind notice the decision of the 2^nd General Body of the current financial year held on 29^th July 2006, and the working report.

After the executive committee assumed responsibilities for 2006-2007 we regret to inform that the committee could not go ahead with major activities in order to take the association in a progressive manner.

 

The first General body meeting discussed the report submitted by the executive committee where in, the Vice President and the Secretary were alleged to have indulged in activities against the interest & the smooth functioning of the association. In this General body Secretary Mr. John Varghese voluntarily declared his resignation and there by General body decided not to initiate any disciplinary action against Secretary. General body also resolved to issue a show cause notice to the Vice President. Since Vice President failed to respond to the show cause notice, the executive committee was forced to take the decision of keeping him away from the day to day official activities of the Association. Subsequently Mr. Ninan Samuel who was representing the Stockport area also rented his resignation.

 

Executive Committee decided to organize the Onam Celebrations 2006 on 9^th September and also appointed Mr. Renji V V as the Cultural committee convenor and Mr. Robin Thomas as the Sports Committee convenor for the smooth functioning of the celebration. As part of the Onam Celebrations, Football match was conducted on 23^rd July at Rushford Park, Longsight.

 

2^nd General body meeting held on 29^th July at Ghandhi hall nominated Mr. Sankaran as Vice President and authorized the Executive committee to fill the existing vacant positions.

                       

Due to some references made in the General body President declared his resignation and expressed his unwillingness to continue as a caretaker president till an alternative is found. Taking into a count the declared Onam Celebration on 9^th September, the Executive Committee presided over by the Vice President filled the necessary vacant positions. The executive also resolved to call for a general body to discuss the future plans after the Onam Celebrations.

 

The following were the necessary decisions taken by that Executive Committee.
